What we collect
Your email address, the causes you record (video/audio/photo/text), the situations Aura classifies them as, the devices you register in Aura Me, your feedback and testimonials, and payment records (via Stripe — Cause never sees your card).
Why we collect it
To store and deliver your Causes, to help Aura guide you, to process payments, to send you magic-link sign-ins, and to grow Cause responsibly.
Where it lives
Media (video/audio/photo) is stored in Emergent Object Storage. Metadata is in MongoDB. Nothing sits on your device unless you choose to download it via a paid package.
What we never do
We never sell your data. We never share your causes with advertisers. We never train third-party AI models on your content. We do use Anthropic's Claude Sonnet 5 and OpenAI's TTS API to power Aura — those calls send the text of your prompts to those providers under their business-tier no-training terms.
Your rights
You can export your data, delete your account, and revoke any consent from your Library. In the EU/UK you have GDPR rights; in California, CCPA rights.
Biometrics
Face ID / Touch ID / Windows Hello never leaves your device. Cause only receives a public key.
Cookies
Cause uses one strictly-necessary session cookie for sign-in. Optional analytics cookies are only set if you tap "Accept" on the banner.
Children
Cause is not intended for children under 13.
